Easy to get in.
So far I've had a great experience. Renting online was a breeze and when I showed up at the facility, the manager had everything ready to go. It is clean and seems to have great security measures. The manager was also very helpful in showing me the unit and explaining how everything functions.
I can give this review based on my initial contact with Extra Space at the SE 82nd st. Location and my experience at the Happy Valley location. I stopped in @ 82nd street Extra Space and to my surprise a person actually got up and opened the office door, and asked what he could do for me! I’ve been using another storage outfit for about three years now and at several locations. The doors are always locked, and displaying a RQ code for their app. And the three facilities I dealt with provide a site map with available units, which upon receiving payment for yields a gate code. Then you find the unit and inside is a padlock. Since July I saw no employees, nor was I successful in getting through to a person when I tried to contact them about the gate malfunctioning. Someone at Extra Space feels that someone should be in the office and I agree. The gentleman at 82nd didn’t have what I needed but laid out options at other locations. Happy Valley showed a unit that fit my needs so he called, confirmed and wrote address to Happy Valley store where I was greeted by Joseph Y, we talked in the office as he went over a few different options. Then he walked me through the steps from entering facility, accessing the carts provided, and we viewed the unit. Cleanest facility I’ve seen. There’s two bathrooms, gain entry with your gate code. And get this! I’m paying 50 bucks less per month than the other place. Nice work Extra Space and thanks to your guys at 82nd in Portland and Happy Valley Oregon.
