New Year’s Resolutions – How many have you broken already?

When it comes to New Years Resolutions, let's face it: we're not quite as good at keeping them as we'd like to think. Sure, we all have the best intentions with New Years goals and resolutions - maybe we want to lose weight, or improve our social or love lives, or learn a new language, or whatever. But when it comes right down to it, well, it just doesn't quite go like we planned, does it?

Whether your New Year's Resolution in 2013 was to get fit and lose weight, or get all situated and clean out everything around your house and put it in a self storage unit, surely you've broken one of them by now. Which resolution have you had trouble with? And where are you falling, only to get picked back up and move on with a new focus and a new set of ideas moving forward?

Weight Loss Is Tough
If you are like most people, you are finally finding out just how tough it is to drop weight and look and feel great. That comes with a ton of work and commitment, and it's not as easy as you think to lose weight and focus hard on this resolution. But you can do it, if you are focused about it, and make weight loss your full priority! Believe it or not, it is possible to lose weight, and many people do every year!

Instead of making unrealistic goals or anything of the like when it comes to New Years Resolutions this year, focus on making a more realistic weight loss goal. Forget about losing, say, 50 pounds, and instead focus on the first ten. When those come off, then, jump into the next goal, and provide yourself manageable chunks of work through which you can constantly and consistently improve.

After all, weight loss is a long-term game that won't be won in a single day or week; don't make it a short-term goal with failure attached, but rather a long-term goal and situation that leaves you focusing more and more on each and every day, instead of failing big time looking at the big picture.

Clean Out Your House - And Your Mind!
No matter what you are or how you live, chances are you've got a lot of extra stuff just lying around - stuff that you might find value in and want to keep, of course, but that isn't exactly conducive to your living space or living situation. If that's you, well, there's just one thing to do: grab a unit at a self storage Los Angeles, or a unit in whatever city you might live, and clean house!

A low cost, monthly rental at a storage unit can leave you with a great option to clean out and organize your stuff, keep it in a secure place to hold for months at a time, and give you the piece of mind to know that you're able to check on it and go get it whenever you want, while knowing it's not jammed in your garage or precariously loaded into your closet!
