I've never had a storage space before, so this was the first go round with renting one. We rented a 5 X 10 space, thinking it was big enough to store our daughters belongings while waiting to move into an apartment. The movers showed up to unload - it was 5:03 pm on a Saturday. I thought the office closed at 6; it closed at 5. The 5 X 10 was nowhere near enough space for all her stuff. In a panic, I went into the office to see if I could rent another space. Gerry was in the process of closing up and he obviously had somewhere to be and he graciously decided to stay and help us get a second unit so all of her stuff could be stored. It ended up taking about 30 minutes for him to get it all processed and I apologized multiple times about making him late and he never once got angry or made me feel like an inconvenience to him. He was friendly, helpful, and courteous. Gerry made a potentially horrible situation almost stress free just by going the extra mile to help an obviously panicked parent out. I can't recommend Life Storage on Sam Bass in Round Rock highly enough. Great facility and even greater employees. After all was handled and all the belongings stored safely, my daughter said to me, "you know dad - we could have just done it online while they were unloading." I looked at her like an idiot and said, "what????" I'm sure Gerry thought about that too, but he decided to take the time personally help me instead. We need more people like Gerry out in the service industry. Thanks so much Gerry!
