I would like to take this moment to send my kindest regards towards your courteous employee; presumably recognized as Michael. He is so deserving of the highest laurels. His customer service is undeniably exquisite. He saved me a bundle, by asking me if I had all the appropriate packing supplies. Certainly I did not. I then purchased additional boxes for; my clothing, and several miscellaneous items. As well as extra tape, bubble wrap, and to top it off with a secured padlock. He also asked me to give him an approximate weight of all of my belongings, I desired to place into storage. Mr. Guzman advised me to rent the 10x10 space. It was a marvelous vivification, for I was able to fit everything comfortably within those well-equipped, & weather-protectant walls. You pointed me to the right necessities I was in need of, for my personal possessions’. Michael, I’m entirely grateful ever so much for your guidance. Very accessible, great location for me, always helpful customer service, clean facility.
My main concern is security. From the day I signed lease (9/01/13) to at least 10/01/13, the entry gate was not in service.
Thank you for helping us in a difficult move. Extra Space had every feature we needed, a drive-up, drive-in that was climate controlled and allowed us to do a partial month pro ration for our last month. All the guidelines were explained by the great agent at the Salt Lake City answering center, and then re-explained by the Falls Church VA person on site. NO surprises! What a relief to be able to move our stuff, get it secured and then leave the country for weeks, confident that all would be well-managed. The move-out was easy too, with personnel stopping by to be sure we were ok. Thank you Hollywood Rd. Extra Space!
Review written 4 July 2013: Having rented a large 2nd floor storage space for four years, I must say that the I've been very satisfied. The elevators are convenient although sometimes there's been a shortage of hand platform carts. The facility is very convenient and accessible. Although I rarely use them, the outside dumpsters, for trash, have sometimes been locked. I have a NON-climate controlled storage space and monitor its temperature; it's always been comfortable in both the winter and summer months. Hallway lighting is okay and can be controlled by the customer with timer switches; the single bulb lighting in my unit was poor until I replaced it with a "Y" socket containing two long-lasting CFL bulbs (much brighter, lower wattage, more reliable). The staff has always been very friendly and helpful ... especially when I've had to borrow a ladder or tool a few times. It would be helpful if when they're away from the office and elsewhere on the property, we could still reach them by cell phone. You might expect a rent increase about every 8 or 9 months; you'll get a 30 day notice in advance (anticipate the increase and pay 35 days in advance, before it goes into effect, and save money). Overall the increases have averaged about 9.5% per year. You can delay an increase and save money by paying many months in advance. You can also save money and delay (freeze?) the increases by paying a year in advance and getting one additional month's rent for free. Repeat that again 11.5 months later (before receiving a rent increase notice) and further delay the increases and reap the savings. Good luck!
